- JavaScript: JavaScript is also one of my best talents. Most of the online calculators I make are done in pure JavaScript. I find JavaScript to be the best solution for mathematics based applications which is a favorite specialty of mine. You will find a number of calculators that I have made in my Portfolio. I also almost always use JavaScript for form validation as it is known to be the best scripting language for the job and I find it to be the most secure as well.
- Ajax: This little used technology is a wonderful way to speed up your dynamic website and make it run smoothly. Many people don't like to mess with Ajax because it looks intimidating to amateur coders. I love to use Ajax! Of particular interest to me and many of my clients, is the Ajax HTTP Request. In fact, one of my trade secrets is a special HTTP Request class that I have written to very quickly and easily retrieve data from a server without doing a page refresh. There is nothing unique about the idea, but the way I implement it (clean and fast) is very unique.
- HTML: Even though I like to promote my dynamic abilities, I can create well done static web pages also. Most of my dynamic designs will also include HTML. HTML is the building block of web design, so I have learned every nuance of it over the years and it is one of my best known languages along with PHP and JavaScript.
- Flash: Flash is one of the most popular newer technologies in high demand today. That's why I have studied all of the most recent techniques in ActionScript scripting and Flash development & design. I consider myself an expert in implementing Flash video sites. You will find a very famous TV and movie director's website that I have done in Flash in my Portfolio(www.fransolomita.com).
- Search Engine Optimization: SEO is very important for any website that you want to rank in the top search engines! Without proper SEO techniques, your site will not get seen. That is why I have taken the time to study the art of SEO very thoroughly. I use techniques that will assure you a spot in the top ten rankings if you advertise properly(I can help with advertising too). At a minimum, I make sure that all the sites I design are set up correctly for SEO. They will have proper headers including well worded Title tag, Meta tags and Doctype declarations. I have also built several online tools that assist with SEO of people's websites, including a few tools I designed for seo.com. I plan to put some of my SEO Tools on this site in the "Webmaster Tools" section.
- Graphic Arts: I offer full graphic design services as well. I enlist the aid of a very talented local artist to draw original designs for my clients. Whether it is for a business logo or a whole page Flash animation, I offer it all. I still do animated GIFs also. My artist draws up the ideas and I turn them into computer art. This system has worked very well for me over the years. I use a professional artist because I specialize in coding and design, but when it comes to pen and paper, I can't draw a straight line. Once my artist draws something for me, I can turn it into a scalable vector graphic perfectly though! So, we work well together.
- Database Management: I offer complete database management services. My specialty is in Mysql databases because Mysql is by far the superior format in my opinion(and many others). I use a common combination of PHP and MYSQL coding that works very well for handling the transfer of information to and from a database. I use phpMyAdmin Whenever possible so that my clients will be able to work on and update the database easily in the future if necessary. I have experience working with huge databases like auto parts manufacturer's databases. I also work with smaller databases for CMS sites and user management schemes regularly.
